Ksg Carry Handle - New photos of Kel-Tec's latest firearm have surfaced on Facebook. They come out with their new KS7 bullpup rifle and a pistol version of the CMR-30 called the CP33.

At first glance, the KS7 looks like an updated KSG. He is still a bullpup with many similarities to KSG. However, it has a polymer grip sight instead of the metal top rail on the KSG. The front handle of the pump has been replaced with contoured ergonomic handles. An upgrade that the KSG lacked is MLOK slots for adding accessories. However, I am not sure of their position. Chad Enos, of Kel-Tec, confirmed that the side slots in the carrying handle are MLOK slots. as well as the forearm. But look where they are. The MLOK slots above where you grip the pump handle are high up and on the back of the handle above the rear hand stop. Then there are two more slots all the way back. The slots in the satari handle are too high. This will complicate the activation of light and laser.

Perhaps the biggest difference is that it is not a twin pipe setup like the KSG. It is a single barrel shotgun that can hold seven 12 ga grenades. I'm not sure why they reduced the KSG to one tube, but it would be lighter and easier for those with smaller hands. Hopefully the carrying handle will allow the optics to be mounted as I prefer to shoot the KSG with a red dot.

Kel Tec Ksg Bullpup Shotgun Review

The CMR-30, as you already know, is Kel-Tec's .22WMR carbine. It has similar features to the H&K MP7. When the CMR-30 first came out, people wanted the pistol version. While the PMR-30 is chambered in .22WMR and uses the same magazines as the CMR-30, it is not the same. The PMR-30 has a typical ambidextrous slide and best of all, you can't jam the PMR-30. Sure, you can chop the barrel of the CMR-30 and SBR, but some NFAs can't, so a pistol version of the CMR-30 would be great.

In the photo above you can see the significant changes between the CP33 and the CMR-30. For starters, it has no supply of destruction. Hopefully a collapsible cradle will become available in the future. Most importantly, the CP33 has a different charging handle design. The CMR-30 has ambidextrous forward charging handles. But the CP33 seems to have the charging handle in the same position as the H&K MP7, near the back of the top receiver.

Another big change is the magazines. These are transparent. The name is also CP33, could that mean the magazines hold 33 rounds? According to Oleg Volk, the CP33 is a .22LR pistol. Not a .22WMR pistol. So even though it looks like a pistol version of the CMR-30, it's not. However, as with CMR-30, you can suppress CP33.

Hopefully we'll see them at the Shot Show Industry Day at the Range and get some hands-on time behind these new offerings from Kel-Tec.
